Fredericksburg, Travel, & Accommodations
Fredericksburg, Travel
Fredericksburg is located in the beautiful Texas Hill country. In order to enjoy all of the beauty and splendor, you have to travel a bit from the major cities- but we assure you though, the trip is well worth it!
Fredericksburg is about an hour and a half west of Austin and an hour and a fifteen minutes northwest of San Antonio. To get to the city, we recommend renting a car for ease.

THings to do
During the Christmas season, Fredericksburg feels like the small town in a Hallmark movie. There's ice skating on Main Street, a 30-foot Christmas tree and an authentic German Christmas pyramid decorated with lights. Fredericksburg has a Christmas Night of Lights presentation every evening at 6 pm in the Martplatz that features the story of the town's German heritage and holiday carols.

The Texas Hill Country is home to over 100 wineries and vineyards and Fredericksburg is the epicenter of Texas Wine Country. There over 60 wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms in Gillespie county! There are tours that will take you around to various wineries, buses that have different stops you can hop on and off of, as well as tasting rooms near downtown if you'd prefer to walk Main Street and stop in to try various vineyards easily.

Airbnb
Fredericksburg has surged in popularity over the last few years, so there are a number of great Airbnb's in the area! We suggest reserving an Airbnb sooner rather than later as Fredericksburg is quite popular during the Christmas season. Feel free to shoot Catherine or Spencer a text if you'd like guidance when choosing!
La Bonne Vie is off of Highway 16 roughly fifteen minutes south of downtown when you're looking, but there are some really amazing houses throughout Fredericksburg.
